The Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame
07/10/2000
When all the inductees of the 1972 United States Olympic Hockey team was contacted they said, we have to have Coach Murray inducted with us, as we would not have been chosen for the team without him.
Coach Murray Williamson, not from Massachusetts, actually from Canada, but first naturalized, then inducted into the Massachusetts Hall of Fame along with the 1972 Olympic Silver Medalis Hockey team. Coach Williamson guided this unforseen force to beat all odds and bring home the silver. That team compiled an impressive domestic record of 60 wins, 6 losses, and 4 ties.
